Snow-Cat

Although today is a marvelously mild day, huge piles of snow are everywhere, and a kind soul had dug some "toboggan runs" for the cats to give them some much needed outdoor entertainment. On my way to work this morning, the sun was gleaming down onto our golden boy, Manitou, exploring the snowy pathways, but I only had my cell camera, hence the poor quality of the photos. Cheer up, folks and felines - March is around the corner!

Snow-Heart

I dreamed of my brother again last night, and this morning I see this. I am always looking for signs...

Feels so Good!

My oh my - it's Friday - again. I guess that's a good thing, but it's cold and blowy and snowy and don't feel like writing much. Longfellow here has the best idea: let it all hang out, soak up some rays, and sleep, sleep, sleep.....

Timmy Poses and Ponders

Well, after several days of mild weather, sadly tricking the cats into thinking spring was well on its way, another blast of winter came down upon us all yesterday. This morning, the cold bitter wind made going outside rather miserable, and I sure did envy the cats cozy inside while I trudged up the road to catch my ride. Timmy has the right idea: stay inside and look out the window, and when bored with that, time to stretch and have a good long nap!

As always, there's more to see at The Friday Ark and then Carnival of the Cats on Sunday.

Six More Weeks?!

If Maple Grove Marty were still around (yes, we used to have our very own groundhog living under the garden shed), the fact that he saw his shadow this week, thus predicting 6 more weeks of winter, would not have impressed our Dito. We have had soooo much cold weather this winter: today, hopefully the last of a string of extremely cold temps, this morning it was -19C with a windchill of -32. Although this cat had spent 2 or more years out in the cold before we tamed/saved him, and he's having none of it anymore. Here he is expressing his views on the matter, and I translate loosely: "wake me up when it's spring!!"

See how others are passing the time until spring at The Friday Ark and then Carnival of the Cats on Sunday.
