Our flagship boy, featured in the banner above -
our Sweeto Bandito - left us last Friday, August 10th.
He was very sick, very old, and very tired.
A bird sings "Dito - Dito", as we used to call him.
And I too am feeling old, and tired, and so very sad.
An endless river of tears. There is just no end to it. I am so, so, so sorry. It is so brutal, for us who are left behind. All beauty and tenderness to you, dear Anya. Dear Anya, who brings beauty to this grieving person here, every time I come to visit. May we meet in happier times. May that be soon. Not now.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard when the one we have loved for so long leaves us. You are not alone.
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry to hear that Bandito has gone to the Bridge. We send you comforting purrs and headbutts.
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your new adventures, Dear Bandito! Blessings to all who love you!
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment at Catself, and wanted to say I am so sorry that Bandito has come to the end of his days. What a beautiful cat. He looks so lovely amid the flowers and your pretty surroundings. May your beautiful memories of him bring comfort and peace to your heart.
ReplyDeleteHugs...
ReplyDeleteNothing can so fill the heart as a cat with special needs who's been with me for a long time. Nothing feels as desolate as the house without him.
Peace, friend. Hugs, my dear.
Sending mournfull purrrrrsss. We never knew Bandito, but it is clear he was loved.

Please accept my condolences on Bandito's passing. I know how much sorrow you must be feeling. His last photograph was most poignant. Good luck to all there in the mending of their hearts.

ReplyDeleteWe left a message the other day but it seems to have disappeared, so we'll leave another to say how sorry we are for the loss of your Bandito. You gave him a good life and we know you'll miss him.
ReplyDeleteThank you, all you wonderful people - it really means a lot to me. Mr. Poole is wondering where his morning bed partner is :(
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry to hear about your dear Bandito. We all send you many purrs and hugs.
ReplyDeleteThey are part of our lives such a short while, but leave an imprint time can never erase. Mom Julie says the only thing that consoles her is knowing how much she loved our little friends and that's what keeps the bond strong and their presence felt each and every day.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your loss and your pain, Anya. Bandito had a good life in your care and in your heart. ((((Hugs))))

ReplyDeleteMay we express our deepest sympathies and gentlest snuggles over the passing of Bandito. And may peace be with you.
ReplyDeletePurrs...
Once again, thank you to all who so kindly offered words of comfort - I have included a link which tells of Bandito's story - I should have done that initially, but I wasn't thinking clearly. We always used to ask him, "You know why we called you Bandito?" He'd look at us with a quizzical look, much like in photo no.3, as if to say, "no, Mummy, why?" To which we'd reply "because you stole our hearts!!"
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry that you beloved boy has left for the Bridge. He is well met by all the beloveds who have gone before. We send comforting thoughts and gentle purrs.
ReplyDeleteRun free at the Bridge, handsome Bandito ...

I am so very sorry. I haven't had it happen yet, but it must really hurt when you lose that special heart-kitty that has a really special place in your heart. I am expressing myself very badly, but the tears keep falling and I am having trouble thinking straight. Hugs from me and comforting purrs from Herman, Spyro and Oja. Spyro is beside me now, purring like crazy for you.
ReplyDeleteWe're so very sorry to learn of Bandito's passing, but very happy that he allowed you to rescue him and that he died surrounded by love. We hope you will not mind our honoring him in the August edition of Our Rainbow Friends when it is posted in mid-September. He deserves to be remembered.
ReplyDeleteYour Bandito looked like the best buddy ever - he had a lovely broad face and eyes as deep as time. We are so sad for your loss and send you many purrs. We know nothing can possibly help, but the hurt will go and you know he's there looking gently down at you.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to read this. Good-bye Sweet CatPrince. Come back to us soon (for I believe that beloved pets do come back one way or another....maybe that's just my way of dealing with it, but I like to think it is true).
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. This sweet boy had a wonderful life with you and you making that difference for him is really all that truly matters.
